Changing the filter on the HB 6000 is quick and easy.
A pump filter (50 Mesh) is integrated as standard in the HB 6000 series. This filter plays a critical role in preventing contaminants and burnt hot-melt adhesive residue from being carried by the pump into the heated hose and applicator head.
Filter cleaning or replacement: If you notice that the amount of adhesive applied is reduced, this could be due to contaminated filters. The filter on the tank inlet valve and the pump filter should be inspected regularly.
Factors affecting filter replacement: The frequency of filter replacement depends on various factors, including the type and purity of the adhesives used, the working temperatures of the adhesive and the adhesive consumption in conjunction with the residence time in the container.
Rule of thumb for replacing filters:
As a rough guide, it is recommended to change filters every 1,000 hours of operation. Irrespective of this, the filter should be replaced at least once a year to ensure optimal performance of the system. Our video shows you how to do it:
