The swivel application head – maximum flexibility

The swivel application head differs from conventional application heads in its affixing of the two B400 modules. While in conventional models the modules are firmly attached to the base body and have a constant distance between the nozzle tips, the swivel application head allows this distance to be individually adjusted.

Thanks to the rotating modules, the nozzle tip distance can be varied as required. This adaptability is supported by separate solenoid valves that enable each module to be controlled individually. The modules are air-opening and spring-closing. The two modules can each be controlled individually by means of separate solenoid valves. Solenoid valves and nozzles are available separately.

Areas of application of the swivel application head

The swivel application proves to be extremely advantageous, especially in small series production. The ability to adapt the production line to new requirements with minimal effort makes it an indispensable tool.  

The rotation of the module makes it possible to precisely apply adhesive beads at intervals of a few millimetres to several centimetres. This means that specific requirements of individual products can be met without any problems.

Special applications and flexibility

While conventional application heads are often only available with permanently mounted modules at standard spacings, the swivel applicator offers a flexible solution. When changing products with different application patterns, it is not necessary to install a different application head; instead, infinitely different distances can be achieved using a swivel head. This not only saves costs, but also increases the flexibility and adaptability of the manufacturing processes.
