The sequence of adhesive application is important for successful bonding. For example, metal is bonded to insulating materials for roller blind installation. The applied hot melt adhesive cools down relatively quickly, especially if the material has good thermal conductivity. This would be the case if you sprayed adhesive on the metal first.

However, if you first apply the adhesive to EPS / XPS the thermal resistance of material supports adhesion. The workability of the hotmelt is then increased.
