Heating cartridge
Heating cartridges are electronic components that convert electrical energy into thermal energy via a heating resistor. This is accomplished by energizing a high resistance conductive material. The heating elements are installed with different diameter, length and electrical power.
It ensures rapid and uniform heating of the tank, the nozzle and the seal. Heating cartridges have no direct contact with the adhesive, but only heat the heating chamber of the device. Whereas in smaller devices such as the simple hot glue guns, the temperature is set and fixed, in advance hot melt adhesive guns this can be controlled via an analog or electronic control. Heating cartridges are usually interchangeable.
Alternative construction methods of the heating cartridge are:
- Heating spiral
- Heating conducter
- Heater band
- Heating sleeve
- Heating mat or
- Heating coil
