Cleaning the HB 5010
We would like to explain to you in five steps how to clean the BÜHNEN HB 5010.
We have compiled detailed instructions as a PDF and made them available for download.
Important: Wear suitable protective gloves!
Step 1: Emptying the tank
- The device must be disconnected from the power supply.
- Disconnect all hoses and hand guns from the device.
- With the exception of a small amount, allow the hot-melt adhesive to drain off into a suitable container via the “quick drain” or at low pump speed.
Step 2: Mechanical cleaning
- Use a plastic/wooden spatula to clean the inside of the tank. Remove the resulting incrustations with the spatula. Do not use metal spatulas, as these could damage the non-sick coating.
Step 3: Removing the filter cartridge
- The filter cartridge should always be changed after mechanical tank cleaning.
- Remove the filter cartridge from the device when the melting tank is empty and the pump system switched off.
- Do not reinsert the filter cartridge yet.
Step 4: Flushing the melting tank
- Fill approximately three quarters of the melting tank with avenia B41577.2 and melt.
- Clean the inside of the tank once more with a suitable plastic or wooden spatula.
Step 5: Empty the tank and insert the filter cartridge
- Allow avenia B41577.2 to run out of the tank until the discharge is free of contamination/impurities.
- Insert new filter cartridge.
- Fill the tank again to a quarter full. Now connect the heatable hose and applicator to enable them to be rinsed.
- Finally, pour the productive adhesive into the tank and allow it to run through until the cleaner B41577.2 has been rinsed out of the tank, hose and applicator.
