Energy savings through better insulation connected with bead increased safety

AuftragsköpfeWe have been supplying all our Type HB 20 applicator heads for bead application with additional insulation since 2015. Applicator heads are used for automatic processes. If you want to reduce piece costs at large item quantities, if precision during manual application using a manual gun is not sufficient, if space availability does not allow manual application, or if the adhesive application has to be monitored, applicator heads of various types can be used.

The main body of an applicator head is made of metal, which has good thermal conductivity. However, without insulation the applicator head also gives off heat into the environment. This means that heating up the applicator head at the beginning of work takes longer, and more energy is required to retain the set temperature during work.

BÜHNEN takes over Termolan Sp. z o.o

BÜHNEN is pleased to inform you that on 10 December 2015, Mr. Slawomir Lange and Mr. Bogdan Lukaszuk sold all their shares in Termolan Sp. z o.o. to BÜHNEN International GmbH. This also encompasses all of Termolan CZ s.r.o.'s business activities in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. Termolan will therefore become a fully-fledged part of the Bühnen Group, which is in the process of becoming the market leader for hot melt adhesives in Central and Eastern Europe, having taken over the activities of the Aerden Group in Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia in mid-2015.

HB 6000 – The next Generation

The new award-winning generation is based upon our years of experience and the continuous optimisation by our partner Meler. The focus is on meeting the highest standards of economic management, technology and design.

The tank system from the HB 6000-Series with piston pump is characterised by high productivity, easy handling and comprehensive features as standard. The selected tank sizes range from 5, 10, 20 or 35 litres depending on the intended purpose. There are up to 6 hose connections possible depending on the device type and also hoses from other suppliers (like Ni 120 or PT100 Fühler) can easily be attached.

The use of five radiators ensures a steady temperature distribution of the glue inside the tank and decreases the maintenance of the device because of its optimised melting behaviour. In addition to this, the flow velocity of the glue is increased by the steepness of the tank bottom.

Advantages of Using PUR

In work with hot melt adhesives, reactive hot melt adhesives are gaining ever more importance. In the last decade, the outstanding qualities of reactive polyurethane hot melt adhesive, or PUR for short, have especially distinguished themselves, making high strength bonding possible. The unusually high adhesion properties of polyurethane combined with its other characteristics make it possible to bond hitherto “unstickable” products.

You’ll find more in-depth information on reactive hot melt adhesives in our glossary on our homepage.

Advantages for you when using PUR (reactive polyurethane) hot melt adhesives:

  • outstanding adhesion to a wide range of materials
  • very good low and high temperature performance
  • permanent elasticity and flexibility
  • for especially high strength / construction bonding
  • resistant to many chemicals and solvents
  • waterproof
